Meet Ryan
Ryan Mitchell is a Pennsylvania-based marching arts freelancer and educator with over a decade of experience as both a performer and instructor. He is currently completing his Music Elective Studies degree at West Chester University, where he has studied under Dr. Robert Skoniczin and performed in a wide range of ensembles. His time at WCU has strengthened the musicianship, leadership, and technical skill he brings to every program he serves.

Ryan has marched with several well-respected ensembles, including The Cadets, The Reading Buccaneers, The Bushwhackers, Fusion Drum and Bugle “Core”, and The Hawthorne Caballeros. This breadth of experience across the DCI and DCA circuits informs his instructional approach and gives him a deep understanding of the activity

As an educator, Ryan has fulfilled a wide variety of roles—Drill Writer, Visual Caption Head, Assistant Visual Caption Head, Visual Instructor, Brass Instructor, Choreographer, and Consultant. He has worked with numerous programs including The Hawthorne Caballeros, Upper Dublin High School (Marching Band & Indoor Percussion), Hatboro-Horsham High School, Pottsgrove High School, Midland Park High School, and Council Rock North High School.
His work with these programs has contributed to notable competitive success. Most recently, Council Rock North High School, where he teaches Brass/Visual and writes choreography, earned both the USBands Group 2A Pennsylvania State Championship and the USBands Group 2A National Championship. These are achievements that reflect the commitment to excellence and educational quality Ryan brings to his teams.
Through RPM Music & Visual Productions, Ryan is dedicated to advancing the marching arts by providing high-level visual and musical education, innovative design, and meaningful opportunities for young performers. His mission is to help students grow, improve, and access the same top-tier experiences that shaped his own career in the activity.
